The project

The Opportunity

Productivity software can do a lot, but a feature list rarely makes that usefulness feel immediate.

This concept starts with a familiar work problem: keeping track of what you're doing, what comes next and what is blocked. The goal was to make a Notion workflow feel practical by connecting the software to a recognizable way of organizing work.

The thinking

The Creative Approach

The video leads with the human workflow rather than touring the interface.

Three simple questions create the structure: what am I doing, what's next and what's blocked?

The software demonstration then becomes the answer. Talking-head delivery keeps the piece personal while screen capture shows the workflow in practice. Text and visual overlays reinforce the important information without turning the video into a traditional software tutorial.

The result is designed to feel like someone showing you a useful way they work rather than reading out a list of features.

Hook Variation

Testing another entry point

A second opening was produced around the same core demonstration.

The body of the creative stays intact while the entry point changes, creating a clean variable for future hook testing without rebuilding the entire piece.

That modular structure makes it practical to develop several meaningful openings around one strong core asset.

The making

Execution / Deliverables

One concept was developed into two finished vertical variations, including:

  • Concept development and scripting
  • Creator-led on-camera performance
  • Notion screen capture and software demonstration
  • Supporting text and visual treatment
  • Short-form editing
  • Two opening hooks built around the same core creative
  • Vertical delivery

The proof

What This Demonstrates

This piece shows how Longheld can understand a software workflow, identify the useful human story inside it and turn that value into clear creator-led short-form creative.

It also demonstrates a modular production approach where one core asset can support multiple openings instead of treating every variation as a completely separate production.

Future testing

What I’d Test Next

  • Problem-first opening vs feature-first opening
  • Direct explanation vs curiosity-led opening
  • Earlier screen reveal vs longer creator-led setup
